Almost twenty years have passed, since that inevitable battle. It seems surreal, Anna thinks, that everything is so calm now, when life had been so hectic once.

Anna is now married, with one child, a loving husband, and her dream of managing an onsen fulfilled.

She is sitting in her room alone, preparing for bed. She knows that her husband is talking with some of the patrons downstairs and will be up momentarily.

She hums tunelessly, twisting her long blonde hair into a bun. Anna stares into the mirror, her reflection smiling back at her. She is so different from her 16-year old self. How could this have happened? She can hardly recognize the person in the mirror anymore.

...That person is happy.
